Holy Cross Minstries

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God” (Hebrews 13:16 ESV).

Cross Church sponsors a number of ministries inside and outside of the church. Here are a few of the many ministries that one can be involved in: 

• Safe Haven - offering shelter for homeless during the winter months
• Hot Meals - providing hot meals for homeless individuals the 2nd Sunday of every month.
• Hand Bell Choir
• Seasonal Choir
• Fellowship Breakfast
• Refreshments after worship services 
• Usher at services 
• Altar Guild - preparing church for worship services
• Counters - counting offerings
• Sunday morning Greeters
• Lectors - reading Scripture lessons at service
• Worship Assistants - assisting pastor during the service
• Decorations - preparing the church for special celebrations
• Preparing Casseroles for the Bethany’s House (women shelter at Luther’s Memorial Church - Washington D.C.
• Lawn Mowers
• Christmas and Easter Baskets for children in shelters
• Office Volunteers - helping in the church office
• Martha’s Closet - gathering food and clothing for those in need Holy Cross Thrift Store
